MAKEOVER: Grown-Out Balayage To Copper Melt

Amy Ziegler (@askforamy) of Versatile Strands Salon & Spa in Bethlehem, Pa. says "This client first came to me as a new client back in April 2017 for a blonde balayage from a grown out light coppery ombre with a 4" band of permanent color in the middle. Her second visit was this July and she wanted a vibrant red color with minimal damage."

Ziegler utilized the previous color to create a beautiful melt with an existing root shadow.

Here Ziegler shares how she created the new look:

Step 1: Blend 4oz Joico Red, 1oz Amethyst Purple, & a quarter size amount of Black Pearl. Apply over the lightened area, from mids to ends.

Step 2: Process according to manufacturers instructions.

Step 3: Cut and layer the hair and style with a 1 1/4" BabylissPro curling iron. Finish with Kenra Volume Spray 25 & BigSexyHair Silk Finish Serum.
