Babylights, Toning and Extensions To The Rescue

by Maggie Mulhern | August 7, 2017
Amanda Kelly of Houston, Texas, specializes in Natural Beaded Rows hair extensions "where my client's experience added volume, length and thickness. My clients walk away with beautiful, manageable and natural looking hair."
This makeover, posted on Kelly's @AmandaKStyling Instagram page, caught our eye. We asked for details and she shares:
"The formula used in the picture was Goldwell Silklift with 20 volume developer.  I had to do a lot of babylights all over her head to get rid of the brassy tones in her hair.  At the shampoo bowl I toned her hair with Redken Shades EQ with 9P and a splash of 9V. I left the toner on for 5 minutes.  I used an extension method called Natural Beaded Rows to fill in her hair and add length and volume. I toned the extensions with the same formula."
Valsamis used GL Tapes from Great Lengths to give this braid depth and thickness.
