Andrew Rosario of Dapper Barbershop in Greenacres, Florida feels you always have to prepared for the right opportunity. Wahl's Online Barber Battle was a perfect example. Once he found out about it, he had to enter.

ABOUT ANDREW: "I’ve been cutting hair since I was 10 years old. Growing up, my mom was a single, and as a young kid I was always “trying to make money.” I found a pair of beard trimmers and that's how I started. I used my first pair of clippers 17 years ago, and I’m 27 years old now.

In 2000, I became a licensed professional and I've been working ever since to perfect my craft. Follow me on Instagram @andyfademaster to see more of my work. My passion is helping others grow and see their own potential. I started my own barbershop in 2014, Dapper Barbershop."

Why did you participate in the Wahl Online Barber Battle? "For a chance to be a part of the Wahl Education & Artistic Team and to be involved in education and classes. When I saw that 1st place was a seat on the team, I wanted to participate. I like working with my Wahl clippers, and I like that they're well-known in the industry."

What was your winning strategy? "I pushed myself to the limit. I was editing my video up until a couple of hours before the deadline."

Of the three haircuts, which one is your favorite? "The skin fade - it's the cut that best represents the cutting I do. That’s what everyone knows me for: Andy FadeMaster Rosario."

What advice do you offer to entrants in the future? "Battling isn’t about winning or losing. It’s about showcasing your ability. It’s really about letting people know what you bring to the table."
