Nothing feels better than a client walking out of the salon transformed with an awesome looking balayage!

@texasbalayage has a lot of different balayage before and afters on her Instagram page, which is where we found this makeover. This client came in with 2-3 inches of new growth and faded permanent red color on the ends—which as we all know, is hard to remove.

THE PROCESS:

  1. To start, @texasbalayage balayaged her client using @guytang_myidentity Magnum 8, a violet dusting powder that provides conditioning during the lightening process.
  2. To balance out the color, @texasbalayge toned with Wella Instamatic Smokey Amethyst, which acts on only highlighted or pre-highlighted portions of hair and gives the color an overall “cooler” look. She also used Coiffance USA during the toning process.
  3. To help retain her client’s elasticity during processing and lightening, she credits using Olaplex, a three-step system that prevents damage and repairs hair.
