by Staff Writer | January 19, 2018

Farouk Systems, Inc. proudly announces their support of the Professional Beauty Association’s (PBA) Beacon program by becoming a Beacon Program Top Sponsor. As a sponsor, Farouk Systems, Inc. will help to support the industry’s future rising stars welcoming students across the country to compete and strive for this national recognition. The 2018 Educational Event will be held in Las Vegas, July 28th-30th during PBA Beauty Week. Beacon is an industry-leading program run by the Professional Beauty Association (PBA) and is designed to encourage and inspire beauty school students to prepare for successful careers. The Beacon program is owned and produced by the Professional Beauty Association, which is the largest and most inclusive organization representing the beauty industry.

There are two elements to Beacon — a national competition, open to all beauty industry students and a live, educational event in Las Vegas during PBA Beauty Week for top-scoring entrants. Approximately 1,000 of the nation’s most promising students enter the Beacon competition each year advancing their education, preparing for their careers and gaining national recognition. During each Beacon program, 100 winners and 200 honorable mentions are chosen to attend this specialized education event.

“The Professional Beauty Association is honored that Farouk Systems is endorsing and supporting the Beacon program through their elite sponsorship. The Beacon program identifies the nation’s top beauty industry students and provides them with business education, invaluable networking opportunities and introduces them to the breadth of opportunities our great industry offers. This year’s opening event is sponsored by Farouk Systems and we know they will provide a taste of the high-quality education and entertainment that the weekend holds in store for the students,” explains Kelley McCarthy, Manager of Education & Training, Professional Beauty Association (PBA)

According to Dr. Farouk Shami, Founder and Chairman of Farouk Systems, Inc., “It has been our goal to secure the future of our industry by providing not only superior education but opportunities to help our future stylists achieve their dreams. We are honored to be a Beacon Program Top Sponsor and support the Professional Beauty Association. They have both strived to provide our industry with the tools and education needed in order for us all to become an industry united.”
