90’s grunge set the tone backstage at Yajun’s Fall/Winter 2018 show.

Aveda Artist Jon Reyman created a rebellious, pushed back style which was accompanied by a smoky eye created by Janell Geason, Aveda’s Global Artistic Director for Makeup.

To get the look, Reyman applied Aveda Phomollient Styling Foam and Volumizing Tonic to the hair, lifting at the roots for volume and twisting to add natural waves as it was dried.

The hair was then separated at the roots and set with clips to achieve a piecey look. On the face, Geason’s light contour and nude lips were balanced by brown shadow on the lids and smudgy black liner under the lower lash line, further emphasized with black shadow.

Aveda Artist Hair Pro Tip: "For an ultra-cool S-wave, bend sections of the hair into a flat S shape and clamp a flat iron on the corners. Finish and set the style with Control Force Firm Hold Hair Spray,” Reyman says.

Aveda Artist Makeup Pro Tip: "Apply black eyeliner under the lower lash line and simply smudge with your finger to get a runway look in a matter of seconds,” Geason says.
