More men are opting for color services for their beards.

Maurice Miller, @mrpureprofection owner of Groom Therapy The Mens Salon in Jacksonville, FL and Salon Centric social squad member says, “it’s a pretty easy sell to guys who want to knock a few years off the clock and bring back their youthful look.” Miller charges an extra $15-$25 for beard coloring depending on how much color work needs to be done.

STEP 1: Soften wiry beard hair by applying 20-volume developer to open the cuticle to allow the color to penetrate the gray hair.

STEP 2: After 10 minutes, remove the developer with a warm towel and apply 20-volume developer mixed with color for 20 minutes.

STEP 3: During this time, continue the hair cut service.

STEP 4: Remove the color with shampoo and shape the beard to complement your client’s new style.
