America’s Beauty Show (ABS) by Cosmetologists Chicago announced the 2018 ABS Global Image Awards are open for entry.
This second year of the famed photo competition for hairdressers, colorists, nail technicians and salon teams alike is expected to grow exponentially.
In 2017, the initial ABS Global Image Awards drew hundreds of entries from across the globe from professional and emerging stylists as well as students.
Now is the time to prepare to enter the ABS Global Image Awards. There are nine different categories in this professionally juried photo competition for the best of the best to enter.
The 2018 ABS Global Image Awards disciplines, include:
- Haircutting
- ColorAmerica Colorist of the Year
- Avant Garde
- Editorial
- Texture
- Men’s Cutting
- Salon Team
- International Nail Technician of the Year (NEW!!)
- Student
The ABS Global Image Awards are open to all licensed salon professionals and barbers or the business equivalent where licensure is not required. In addition, there is a category where cosmetology students may compete along with young professionals.
All categories will be judged by world renowned salon industry leaders from across the globe. The 2017 judging panel included these inspiring artists: Luis Alvarez, Sonya Dove, Tracey Hughes, Vivienne Mackinder, and Tony Rizzo.
Each professional category will offer a single winner an impressive trophy from America’s Beauty Show to display with pride. Winners will be announced during the Beauty Changes Lives Experience April 29 in Chicago. In addition to each category winner, one extraordinary submission will be awarded The Leo Passage Gold Trophy in honor of the late Pivot Point founder and Cosmetologists Chicago member, Leo Passage.
