Most viral post: My Rainbow Curls post had to be my most popular, the view from the top of her head was the perfect angle to show off the soft, springy, kaleidoscope of colors

Favorite apps: I always use Facetune for editing. It’s so versatile and lets me do so many different things instead of downloading 20 different apps. Phonto for my watermark; it’s super easy to use, and I love that curved affect you can use! If I’m trying to create a video, I love videoshop, it’s simple and I love the 4K resolution option that you can save to your phone.

Favorite hashtags: #modernsalon #stylistssupportingstylists #pulpriot

I follow: @shmeggsandbacon @garrettkenroach @seagreenehair @justhairobsession @jaymz.marsters

Pro tips: The ideal variables that lead to my best pictures would have to be: My client standing in front of a black backdrop with a plain black shirt (at least not a loud, distracting color or pattern) outside, and in indirect sunlight. I tag all necessary brands or products that I used during the service (lightener brand, color brand, styling products or tools) on the picture itself and in the caption, never the comments. I also include tags for my area to reach potential customers and any promotional Instagram pages that relate to the look of the picture.

Hidden talent (beauty-related): I give a bomb shampoo and scalp massage!

Hidden talent: I love to sew and make DIY crafts

How social media changed my life: It’s given me more confidence behind the chair, more knowledge about my craft, and helped me make connections with other artists, brands, and companies that I wouldn’t be able to otherwise

The first time I was featured on MODERN’s Insta: The post was one of my favorites, a look created to transition my client away from the multi colored rainbow, to something lighter so we could change her look with the next visit! I lightened her roots and applied a dark blue shadow root that melted into her pastel length. I remember it definitely didn’t sink in right away! It was such a shock to see my work featured next to artists that I follow!
