SalonCentric is hosting its first-ever student hairstyling contest, the FuturePRO Awards, with entries being accepted from now through September 10. The contest, which focuses on avant-garde hairstyles, was established to celebrate current cosmetology students who are breaking beauty industry boundaries with innovative techniques and trend-setting looks.
The winner will receive a trip for two to the newly-launching Premiere Philadelphia Beauty Show on Sept. 23 and 24. While there, the winner will receive mainstage recognition from SalonCentric Ambassadors Daniel Mason-Jones and Jen Planck, along with admission to Tabatha Coffey’s Elevate the Salon Experience class. The winner’s image will also be recreated as a larger-than-life graffiti mural live at the show, as well as possibly having his/her work featured on SalonCentric’s marketing materials, including social media channels.
All FuturePRO Awards must be entered to win from now through Sept. 10. Entries should be posted on Instagram with #SCFuturePro and include the words “Contest Entry” in the caption. Students can also enter and find more information at bit.ly/scfuturepro. The winner will be contacted on Sept. 13. All entrants must be enrolled in school or performing required hours as of Aug. 6, 2018. Entrants must be students and must not be a licensed cosmetologist as of the September 10 deadline. Only one entry is accepted per student.
