CHI’s team of hairstylists, led by Global Artist Tammy Mixon, was on hand to create the runway looks for the Sherri Hill Spring/Summer 2019 collection presented at New York Fashion Week this week. The hairstyles for the show included a collection of free flowing, gently curled styles created using CHI Haircare and Tools.
"The inspiration behind the hair for Sherri Hill's show this year was natural and airy looks whether the hair was long or bob length. There was no definition, only hair that moved freely and was naturally beautiful,” explains Mixon.
For this year’s show, Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, Miss USA 2018 Sarah Rose Summers and Miss Teen USA 2018 Hailey Colborn took the runway.
Step by Steps:
1) Each model was prepped with CHI Silk Infusion from the mid-shaft to the ends.
2) Prior to curling with the CHI LAVA Pro Spin N Curl or straightening with the CHI LAVA 1” Hairstyling Iron, each section was lightly misted with CHI 44 Iron Guard.
3) Next, each section was misted with CHI Enviro 54 Natural Hold Hairspray and brushed out.
4) To Finish and create the light airy look after styling, the hair was blown dry with a round brush using the CHI Nano Dryer to loosen and smooth the hair for the “Free-Flowing” look.
