"My client came in wishing silver hair," says Michelle Maspes (@hairbymichellemaspe), a hairdresser from Milan, Italy.  "First we had  started with a color correction. We made a second appointment for the silver toner because she had two self bleaches with 40 vol that had her hair so many spots."

Here Maspes shares the details for the five hour makeover:

STEP 1: In foils, bleach 20 vol 1:1 on the darker spots.

STEP 2: Remove bleach with a clean towel.

STEP 3: Bleach (10 vol 1:2) all over the length to create clean canvas.

STEP 4: Shampoo with Fanola No Yellow shampoo (mixed with 1/5 Castor Oil).

STEP 5: Tone with 9.01 + 9.02 L’Oréal DiaLight 6 vol (equal parts).
