Cutting off inches for a healthier, thicker shape, adjusting the color and placing light around her face were updates that resulted in the creamiest, dreamiest blonde by Lindsay Reklaitis @pinkandbalayaged, an Aveda Master Stylist in Rochester, NY.

“My guest was a referral,” explains Reklaitis, “and she hated that she had a face frame of dark brown. Her hair was also drastically uneven and asymmetrical.”

Her client had given birth nine months earlier, and had experienced some hair loss. She was also dealing with some gray hair.  “She wanted to be as blonde as possible to blend in the grays and diminish the baby hairs that were growing back in.”

Here’s how Lindsay brought the bright back into her client’s life:

 PROCESS

  •  “I did a full highlight of teasylites using Aveda’s Enlightener and 30 volume.
  •  “I then toned her using 40g 0N 4g pastel violet 40g 10 volume and let that process for 20 minutes.”
