MODERN was in Paris, France, recently to join L’Oréal Professionnel, along with thousands of salon professionals and friends of the brand, as it celebrated its 110th anniversary. As the event wrapped up, Beauty and Fashion Director Maggie Mulhern checked in Marion Brunet, General Manager, L’Oréal Professionnel, and asked her to comment on three important topics:
MODERN: What challenges are salons having globally and what advice do you have to meet these challenges?
BRUNET: In a world that is moving at the speed of the light, our mission is to contribute to elevate the hairdressing industry for memorable experiences. MODERN: How has the importance of Social Media and influences changed the way L’Oréal Professionnel does business?
BRUNET: Social Media and influence changed the way of communicating and sharing with hair artists. Today, we collaborate very closely with hair artists from all over the world to create the products and the services that answer their needs. Our hair artists are our first advocates and it is key for us to showcase their talent on social media. They have a strong power of conviction among the community of hair artists but also among consumers.
MODERN: What would you say are the three things that have kept L’Oréal Professionnel at the forefront of the salon industry for 110 years?
BRUNET: In a world that is changing at lightning speed, we have one obsession: to continually challenge ourselves to innovate and offer you the best to be at the forefront of the trends and of what women crave for.
