Christine was a balayage client, but a new baby and a promotion at work allowed her to realize she wanted to GO BOLD. "She felt it was time to change it up," says Brittany Hayton (@Brittanyeleanor) of the Brittany Eleanor Studio, Woodland, NJ. "She wanted something to make her feel good. Platinum blonde it was!"
Here Hayton shares the details for the makeover which took six hours:
STEP 1: Section the hair into four quadrants. Starting at the nape, take very thin slices. Starting a half inch away from the root, apply Wella Blondor mixed with 20 volume developer. NOTE: weave out the previously balayaged hair to prevent overlapping and breakage. Shampoo sections once processed, about 50 minutes per section.
STEP 2: Go back in and apply Wella Blondor 20 volume developer to the roots. Pull through to the ends for the last 10 minutes.
STEP 3: Shampoo with Fanola No-Yellow shampoo. Then color with Wella Koleston 10/38 & 10/6 equal parts 20 volume.
STEP 4: Follow with Malibu C Moisture Mask to replenish the hair. "I also do this before the toning process to help seal the hairs cuticle helping the longevity." Tone with Wella Color Touch 10/0 & 8/81 6 volume developer.
