Blonding specialist Samantha Harman @SamanthasBeautyConfessions has a page filled with blonde finishes, transformations and color corrections. A recent post – a different shades of blonde chart – is a perfect visual and frequently used by colorists to show clients five different tones from warm to platinum.

Top-performing post: A photo of the different color tones from chocolate all the way to silver. I think it went viral because people love to see visuals, especially when it comes to color!
Favorite apps: I love using FaceTune to blur the background and iMovie to create videos.
I follow: @prettylittleombre, @justinandersoncolor, @jamiedanahairstylist, @maeipaint, @lizhaven
Pro tip: Lighting is key. Take picture(s) in good lighting that will give the most accurate image of your work (I like to take mine in front of a window). Also, take a ton of pictures so you have content to post later!
Hidden talent: I am super fast at foiling.
Fun fact: I love organizing!
My audience follows me because: I am so passionate about this industry and all it has to offer. I love educating my audience on the newest color techniques, product knowledge, tips and tricks, etc. I believe that when you are posting about something you love, the right people will follow you!
How social media changed my life: It has completely changed my career. It allows me to showcase my work to the world, which has helped me build my dream clientele. Because of social media, I have also been able to connect with brands and meet likeminded stylists who are so loving and supportive.
My first @modernsalon feature: My first feature on Modern Salon was one of my visuals over the different types of color techniques. I remember being so excited when I got the notification. It’s always such a great feeling when your work gets recognized!
