How-To: The Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging Blowout

Alterna Artist Ana Paz demos her signature voluminous blowout using her favorite “hair hero” formulas from the Alterna CAVIAR Anti-Aging collection.

 

Step 1:  Towel dry the hair

Step 2:  Apply Alterna CAVIAR Anti-Aging Smoothing Anti-Frizz Blowout Butter.

Step 3: Rough dry hair with hands until hair is 80 percent dry.  If hair is prone to frizz, stop when the hair is 50 percent dry.

Step 4:  Part hair at desired part line.  Section out the back from the front of the hair.   Starting in front, take small subsections working from the bottom up and use a round brush to smooth out the hair.

Step 5:  Continue taking small subsections until both sides in front of the head are dry.

Step 6: Starting in the nape, blow out the hair in the back with a round brush to smooth the cuticle. Keep working up the head until the entire head is dry.

TIP:  If a wave or curl effect is desired, curl the hair around the round brush while drying each section, then remove the hair from the round brush in a circular motion away from the face.  

Step 7:  Once dry, determine the desired finish. Use CAVIAR Anti-Aging Professional Styling Perfect Texture Spray for texture.
