Anthony Marmiani (@_anthonyslays), based at the Lux Studio in Middleton, Massachusetts, is a blonding and balayage expert. With guest Christina, Marmiani had an opportunity to demonstrate his skills. "She came to me over a year ago for a global bleach out," Marmiani says. "She came in with seven inches of virgin regrowth with the remaining blonde on her ends from our last session. The regrowth virgin hair started at a level five going into the mids also being a level five, leaving the ends a level nine."

Here Marmiani shares the details for this color correction:

STEP 1: Divide the hair into five basic foil sections. To the first section in the back apply Pulpriot Blonde AF with 20 volume "taking thin slices applying the lightener only to the mids of the hair, repeating the same steps all the way to the last section in the mohawk area." Leave the ends of the hair out throughout. Process for one hour, lifting to a level eight golden blonde.

STEP 2: Go back in and apply Pulpriot lightener with 20 volume at the roots and process for 45 minutes. Lift the hair to a pale level nine.

STEP 3: At the sink, apply Fanola No Yellow Purple Shampoo for five minutes to towel dried hair.

STEP 4: Tone at the sink using Redken Shades EQ 9G + 9N equal parts. Process for 10 minutes.

STEP 5: Apply Olaplex no. 6 Bond Smoother + No.7 Bonding Oil. Then blow dry and style with the BaBylissPRO Titanium 1 1/2 inch curling iron. Set with Davines Dry Texture Spray. Brush out using a Wet Brush.
