Hairstylist Jessica Warburton works in a state that restricts the use of straight razors to barbers. To achieve the closest shave and clean edges, Warburton turns to the cosmetologist-friendly Feather Nape and Body Razor from Jatai International

"As a cosmetologist, I often find myself needing the services that a straight razor provides but that is reserved for barbers only," Warburton says. "I like to use the Feather Nape and Body Razor to achieve that type of look easily. It gets super close and cleans up the edges incredibly well. It’s a staple in my kit and honestly should be in any kit."

The razor features a small folding handle and small blade design for accuracy and ease in shaving. It has a 0.15mm thick stainless steel blade covered by a thin wire mesh for safety as well as a close shave. Because the razor features a guard, hairdressers can use it on their clients.

"There is no better tool for cosmetologist to add value to their haircut experience and to deliver a world-class-haircut finish,"  says Chicago-based stylist Ivan Zoot.

For Warburton, the razor's ability to get super close and leave a clean edge is priceless. To clean up the nape, she used the Feather Nape and Body razor. In the video below, she created an extreme graduation cut using clippers and a barber comb. The longer parts are blended in with point cutting and the Jatai Feather Razor.

"I don't do a lineup on the cut to help leave it a bit adrogynous as this client prefers a nonbinary look," Warburton says.

The Feather Nape and Body Razor uses Jatai's Nape Blades. When a blade gets dull, simply replace the blade. The Nape Blades come in a pack of 10 blades and are sold separately.
