The Oribe 2019 Holiday Collection
Table runners, cushions, napkins --Norah was decked out with designs from Block Shop.
Everyone went home with the Oribe Collection.
Block Shop co-founder Hopie Stockman, talked about the beginnings of their business and how they collaborate with their family of artists in India.
At each seat, a box of handcarved block stamps and a pad of ink was supplied, so everyone had the opportunity to try their hand at creating their own designs.
Oribe celebrated their 2019 holiday collection in collaboration with Block Shop Textiles by allowing everyone to tap into their inner artist. On December 12, at Norah Restaurant in West Hollywood, invited guests were treated to an up-close look at the final collection, which is packaged in boxes designed by the artists and founders of Block Shop, sisters Hopie and Lily Stockman. Then, they had the chance to work with blocks, ink, and paper, to create their own one-of-a-kind print.
Block Shop is a Los Angeles-based textile brand and design studio that started with a small collection of scarves in 2013 made in Jaipur, India, with the goal of supporting and celebrating the Indian hand block printing tradition.
