How-To: Icy Lavender

In a world full of blonde balayage and perfectly dimensioned brunettes, why not go for an icy lavender? Denton, Texas, colorist Sydney Anne Lopez is best known for her beautiful fashion colors and extremely informative videos. Her spunky personality and can-do attitude has made her a favorite among MODERN editors, who named her part of 2017's Top 100.

Her support and encouraging attitude has led her to gain more than 100,000 followers on Instagram. Lopez uses her platform to educate her followers on color formulas and styling techniques. In a recent video, Lopez demoed how she created an icy lavender hue and, of course, we had to find out the details.

"One of the most important things I do anytime I’m using any sort of toner or glaze is make sure I have my wet brush handy at the shampoo bowl to work the product evenly through the hair," Lopez says. "I also used my Wet Brush Pro Detangler prior to trimming the hair, and my Wet Brush Pro Shine Enhancer to get extra shine during the blowdry!"
