Our friends at Cosmetologists Chicago (CC) are working overtime to provide salon professionals with the resources they need concerning Coronavirus (COVID-19).

This letter comes from Frank Fulco, the CEO of CC:

"Our beautiful profession has endured the trials of history.  Through it all, the beauty profession has thrived for centuries."

Dear Members and Friends:

On behalf of Cosmetologists Chicago (CC), I would like to share with you our efforts around the Coronavirus. Cosmetologists Chicago and local partners continue to monitor the evolving situation surrounding COVID-19. We are consulting with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local public health authorities regarding participation at events in Chicago and the entire United States.

We are here to serve you, the licensed beauty professional. Please review the following and feel free to contact any member of the CC Team with your feedback. Thank you for all that you do.

You are OPEN, We are OPEN: Our beautiful profession has endured the trials of history.  Through it all, the beauty profession has thrived for centuries. We see no change for the future and the Coronavirus is another challenge that we will face together and in a thoughtful way. So, you are open for business and we are open to serve you. We are with you.

Consulting with Partners: We are recommending that you follow the safety advice and precautions recommended by the Department of Health and the World Health Organization. In addition, we are recommending you take precautions as recommended by the CDC on proper sanitation protocol to help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. We are also sharing with you relevant updates from the City of Chicago and U.S. Travel Association.

Focus on Sanitation: Sanitation is something that we all can truly manage effectively. Please engage your teammates in implementing the following sanitation protocol:

  • Promote Hand Washing with Soap, Regularly and Thoroughly
  • Promote Wiping Down Stations with Disinfectant
  • Promote Wiping Down Common Surfaces with Disinfectant
  • Promote Covering when Sneezing and Coughing

Your Health Matters: We know that you work long hours. Please do your best to ensure that if you are not feeling well and showing symptoms noted on the CDC website, that you take the time to go see a licensed medical professional. Please do not put your health second. Put your health first as this too is something that can be effectively managed.

We will continue to update you with relevant information. Thank you for all that you do. We are here to serve you. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or comments.

Together, we are CC.
