DePasquale Companies has a long history of giving back to its community and Justin DePasquale and Darlene Fox recently make a donation of $20,000 for victims of Hurricane Sandy, which devastated the East Coast seven months ago. DePasquale is co-owner of DePasquale Salon and Spa and Darlene Fox is director of the Artistic Academy. They presented the check to New Jersey Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno at an event honoring Assembly Woman BettyLou DeCroce in Whippany, New Jersey.

“Helping others in need always brings out the best in people,” said Fox. “The community spirit our student body has is contagious.”

DeCroce said, “This is such a wonderful, unselfish gift by the staff and students to help with our rebuilding efforts due to the devastation from Hurricane Sandy. It is this type of ‘Jersey takes care of its own’ spirit that makes our state so great.”

The salon and academy raised the money when staff and students hosted more than 400 guests during a 12-hour event at the Artistic Academy. Students provided manicures, pedicures and color touch-ups along with raffle drawings and bake sale.

“We are very proud of our staff and students. Their helpful and positive attitudes made everything work well. Our heartfelt thanks goes out to all the families who participated, “said DePasquale.  Visit artisticacademy.com.
