The Martino Cartier Salon, in Sewell, NJ, is, as owner Martino Cartier says, "A nice, warm and lovely environment." Cartier is proud of his 3900 square foot, 30 station space in southern New Jersey. MODERN stopped in to this salon for a little chat and a tour.

SALON TOUR: Martino Cartier, Sewell, NJ

Business is GREAT at this location (there is a smaller Martino Cartier Salon in Cherry Hill, NJ that is also successful). This year service sales are up 17% and retail is up 57% ("I love that we know this so easily," says Cartier. "This Millenium software is fantastic.") Cartier and his team of 35 service up to 900 clients a week.

Wigs pepper the salon and make up for much of the decoration. Cartier, founder of Friends Are By Your Side, the organization created to help women and children in need of wigs, offers up to 70 pieces each month for women and children suffering hair loss due to illness and treatment.

While the salon itself is quite special...with a nice flow and energy, it's tough to compete with the fun and fabulous Cartier. Take this 5 minute tour and also check out Friends Are By Your Side. It makes us all proud to be part of such an amazing industry.
