Marie Ferro, celebrity hair stylist and owner of Marie Ferro Hair Studio in Malibu, California, and Alima Korchinskaya Bryan of Hiroshi Beverly Hills Salon teamed up to create the Film Noir collection. No strangers to Hollywood and the film industry, Ferro and Bryan took their inspiration from the sultry sirens who figured in the film noir genre of 1940s cinema.

“Today women have more choices for self expression in beauty, so we decided to include a tattoo and facial jewel as prominent features in this collection,”says Ferro. The hair is the focal point and Ferro used Goldwell color to create a lush and light-reflective shade of blonde which Bryan styled into deep waves with a conical styling iron

Bryan’s make-up is subtle with the exception of glamorous red lips. For the wardrobe, Ferro and Bryan draped the model in 10 yards of red silk. “Red was selected for this look because, historically, the color is associated with both power and love. We wanted these images to expose all aspects of women, their inner strength, uniqueness and that all-important hint of seduction,” Ferro says.
