Sweis Professional Salon & Spa Products offered a social media boot camp for its salon customers interested in reaching new clients through social media networking. Katie Wagner, president of Katie Wagner Social Media, conducted the class providing salon professions with information for effectively marketing themselves and their salon through Facebook. At 75 attendees, the class was sold out.

Wagner says, Approximately 906 million hours a month are spent on social media. During this time most people are relaxed and in an open state of mind, which is the ideal time to work or building relationships with you and your business.”

Wagner’s presentation was targeted specifically to salon professionals with topics including how to build the correct page, social media etiquette, creating memorable stories, developing relationships that turn into business, and more. The two hour class provided practical information that attendees could immediately apply to their own business.

Karl Sweis, president of Sweis, Inc., said, “At Sweis, we want to offer our salon clients the tools they need to be successful in their businesses. We have identified social media as a special area of interest. Judging from the distance some salon owners traveled to attend the class, there is a great need and desire for social media education.”

Because of the positive response to the class, Sweis is considering offering additional social media boot camps in the future. Visit sweisinc.com.
