A staple of the holidays, the wreath can also be created as a hair style. MODERN interviewed Nada Yono of Nadwa Hair Spa on how she created this beautiful Christmas wreath updo. “Be prepared to take a couple hours out of your day to create this style. It takes a long time, but in the end it’s worth it!” says Yono.

STEP #1: Start with level 11 synthetic hair extensions and mix together equal parts Pravana green and yellow hair color. Apply the color to the hair extensions and let them process for five minutes. "When you are working with wig or extension hair, it doesn’t take long to process, says Yono.)

STEP #2: Rinse out the hair color and dry the hair.

STEP #3: Create a side ponytail on your model’s head. (You can choose to color her hair green, or you keep the model's hair the same hair color.)

STEP #4: Take a round piece of Styrofoam (which will be the base of your wreath) and wrap the synthetic green hair around the wreath, 1" at a time.

STEP #5: Accessorize the wreath with Christmas lights.

STEP #6: Put the wreath on the hair and then with the remaining ponytail hair, incorporate it into the wreath. Create a bun on top of the head and blend it into the style.
