Hollywood Magic
THE EVENT: Fashion Designer Sue Wong's Fall 2008 Collection show during LA Fashion Week.
THE VENUE: The designer's silent-movie era mansion, the restored Norma Talmadge Estate in Los Feliz, California.
THE DETAILS: Alterna Professional Haircare's Global Creative Director Michael Shaun Corby led a team of stylists to create glamorous hair designs to complement Wong's fashions. Taking inspiration from Old Hollywood, Corby and his team created sleek, clean, pulled-back hair adorned with elaborate headpieces covered in jewels and beading.
THE BUZZ: Wong's mansion was formerly the home of Jimi Hendrix and housed Johnny Depp at one time. The home and property emit an old Hollywood, gothic, 1940s-type of glamor that Wong took as inspiration for her fall collection.
THE LAST WORD: "The hair, the fashion, the entire evening was striking, elegant and sophisticated," said Corby.
