CC Creates Stimulus Package

Cosmetologists Chicago (CC), sole owners and producers of America’s Beauty Show (ABS), March 28-30, 2009 at McCormick Place, Chicago, announces the first Salon Stimulus Package to help salon owners and employees.

“We understand that no one really knows what will happen over the next 12-24 months,” says Luz Segovia, CC president. “But we do know the role of a professional association and trade show such as ours is to help our members and attendees in every way we can to maintain and even grow their businesses.”

CC is pulling out all the stops to provide value-added incentives to attendees at the 2009 ABS. The entire show will focus on new ideas, expert advice and the products necessary to build revenue and cut expenses in the salon environment.

“These are serious times,” says Paul Dykstra, CEO of CC and ABS. “We’re addressing the very real needs of our attendees and our exhibitors. Those needs include finding new ways to build revenue and providing as many incentives as possible to cut expenses. Attending ABS is the perfect way for every cosmetologist in America to learn more and earn more.”

A major benefit of membership in CC or the other associations within America’s Beauty Network is free admission to ABS. Only ABN members enjoy this valuable benefit.
For ABS 2009, the association is offering the Salon Stimulus Package, including a one-year ABN membership, free admission for all three days of ABS, a Product Knowledge College Passport for dozens of classes, plus discounts on Master Classes and the Saturday evening fashion event for $75—a more than $400 value.

“Why are we giving our attendees such a deal? One simple reason,” says Dykstra. “We know attending ABS will stimulate, motivate and re-energize salon professionals throughout the country. We want to help each and every one of them build their personal and salon business—not just at the show but also throughout the year. By offering this valuable incentive we expect many more professionals will come for the entire three days of the show—which is good for our show and our exhibitors.”

One of the highlights of the National Redken Artist Connection (NRAC) held this past weekend in Austin, Texas, was the “Social Training” session held by Aditi Sharma, Redken’s AVP PR & Social. “If you don’t embrace this platform” she says, “it will stunt your growth. If you don’t move to video, you’ll be left behind.” Best Practices here.
