Straight to It
Usually, Iâm a GHD Styling Iron loyalist. I canât go anywhere without it. Donât get me wrongâIâm all about experimenting with different flatironsâin fact I LOVE THATâbut, whenever I try another iron, I usually end up re-ironing my hair with my GHD. Â
This morning, as I was getting ready for the office, I decided to give my new Bio Ionic FlashHeat 1â Nano-Ceramic Styling Iron a whirl.Â
Of all days for me to take a âstyling risk,â today shouldnât have been one of them. Itâs almost 90 degrees and crazy sunny outsideâalmost a guaranteed bad hair day for me. But, so far, my hair still looks fantastic! Itâs shiny, straight and lacking any hint of a flyaway. (There is, however, something thatâs been stuck in my eye all day and itâs driving me nuts. But, thatâs not Bio Ionicâs fault.)Â
Some ceramic flatirons have two pieces: the heater and the plate. Bio Ionicâs new FlashHeat iron (bioionic.com $130) is just one piece, because the heater is fused to the plate, which makes it heat up fast (up to 400 degrees) and heat is evenly distributed.Â
Plus, it even looks like it's really high-tech: The boyfriend (who usually doesn't look at my hair tools) was even interested!
