The A Team, a group of talented young hairdressers from within the U.K.-based Saks network, has released an eye-popping new collection that's right on-trend.

“The A Team project is a chance for the best talents within the Saks network to work together, while learning from the most established and experienced hairdressing elite," says Alison Dace, Creative Education Manager for the Saks Art Team.

"Ultimately we hope they’re the next generation of the Saks Art Team,” says Dace.

Dace and fellow Art Team member Mario Failla worked closely with the A Team on the shoot.

“We wanted the collection to portray attitude, independence and strength," says Failla.

"We were inspired by dark gothic romance, street, gypsy and bo-ho. A real mix," says Failla. "We brainstormed the ideas to help create two looks each hairdresser on the shoot. There was a focus around asymmetry, solid colors, fringe detail and varied lengths."

"Color-wise, the looks ranged from dark bases to reds and blonds. We wanted to echo the bold color theme in the make-up by using strong neon colors and stripes," says Failla. For more collections from Saks, visit
