At first glance, you see ancient family portraits, or perhaps a museum piece. Upon closer investigation, it is obvious that the subjects of these images are adorned with hair that is nothing if not present and future perfect.
The artistic team from Lunatic Fringe Salon in Salt Lake City has followed the evolution of style and photography from the 1800s to 2010 to create the Vintage Suppression collection for Paul Mitchell Systems.
Paul Mitchell artists Steven Robertson and Janae Johnson directed the Lunatic Fringe team in the creation of this collection that starts with vintage clothing, the posed, frozen faces of formal portraiture and the color tones of early photography and concludes with an infusion of thoroughly modern hair styling and make-up techniques.
Luxurious curls, finger waves, elegant updos and texturized pony tails are all achieved through expert creative conception and technical execution—supported throughout with a variety of shampoos, conditioners, stylers and finishing products, all from Paul Mitchell Systems.
