Creative Client Consultations

Modern Salon | July 10, 2011 | 8:39 PM

Looking for a creative new way to do client consultations? Turn to Skype, says Rick Fogarty, owner of Plan B (planbsalon.com), Boston's new cut and color boutique. Current or potential clients are able to schedule complimentary 15-minute video consultations with Fogarty or other master stylists from the comfort of their home, during their lunch break or even on the fly via a smart phone. Clients may sign up for the consultation online at planbsalon.com and a confirmation is sent within 24 hours.

"Cutting, coloring or changing one's hair style is the biggest decision some people make in a week, even a month," explains Fogarty. "We wanted to make it easy for clients to talk through taking a step in a new direction, and we thought online was a great resource to do so. It's for those who want to get their feet wet, but don't know where to start or who are too busy for an in-person consultation."
