Tyson Daniel, salon owner and member of the Pureology Network as a Pure Artist, embraces the time when women were ladies and men were gentlemen. "I love that old world charm-especially when blended with a modern-day lifestyle," says Daniel. He designed a collection called "Romance," entered in the internal Pureology photo competition and won the opportunity to re-create the looks with MODERN SALON.

The Daniel victory was announced at Pureology Synergy 2009 in Chicago, a gathering of Pure Artists to learn new techniques and silhouettes. "I was speechless," says Daniel. "I am usually full of words, but this was something else."

Daniel joined Pureology in 2004. "For the past 15 years I have realized the importance of preserving my clients' hair," he says. "I joined Pureology and found the solution. Now my clients hair color lasts longer and the quality of the fabric is drastically improved."

For this session, Daniel pre-colored the hair by lifting the base one level using Redken Color Fusion 6AG (with 20-volume developer) to make a medium caramel-chocolate brown and then followed with a glaze: Shades EQ 07B and Clear. When back in the studio, Daniel got busy creating multiple finishes capturing his romantic feel for the holidays. The faux bob cover look is a great style for clients who want to add retro elegance to their holiday style.
