The Double Detangler

Maggie Mulhern | July 10, 2011 | 8:45 PM

How cool is this comb? It's called the "Double Detangler" and is designed by Ouidad, the pioneer of the curl movement. Ouidad created this tool for her clients to utilize her "rake and shake" technique at home. But it turns out the Double Detangler is a perfect detangling and styling tool for the salon professional. "This tool evolved from the need to properly detangle a client's hair while maintaining the wave pattern," says Ouidad. The artist/inventor developed the double detangler several years ago by simply gluing combs together. Several prototypes later she created this comb featuring teeth with the perfect width, the right size and weight and with rounded tips for a gentle glide through thick, dense curls. $24. www.ouidad.com
