When it comes to guys' color, it's all about the full fringe. With younger men embracing longer looks (but never admitting they're stealing singer Justin Bieber's style), it's the perfect place for a shady accent-from subtle and dark to theatrically light and bright. Just be sure to keep the color on the cool side, says Linda Cooper-Keller, owner of Identity Hair Salons & Spa in Cincinnati, Ohio.

"Even when older guys are camouflaging unpigmented hair-we never say gray-color the roots but leave ends natural," she says. "Otherwise, ends go too warm." In opposition to women, who might choose blonde first, men always adapt the color to the cut, adds Cooper-Keller. These looks from salons across the global show how it's done.
