Perfumes for the Salon

Many salons are defined by their "scent." Romane Fragrances, a 40-year-old fragrance house with some surprising BIG NAME perfumes using them for development, has created a line to be sold exclusively in the salon!

I met with several Romane executives yesterday and had a chance to see, touch and SMELL the fragrances designed for the salon professional and client. The five scents available in this initial launch (called Jet 365) are beautifully formulated and offer something for everyone, from the light and gentle "Cabana for Two" to the more powerful, sexy and seductive "City Lights."

"Romane has taken great care to research the habits and needs of today's fragrance buyer," said CEO Monte Henige. "These products combine fantastic scents with innovative and intriguing form factors. They are offered exclusively in salons and spas with the ability to compel an impulse purchase or entice a planned purchase."

The Jet 365 items, launching in October, are small, portable lipstick sized roll ons to retail for $12.50.

This whole endeavor looks like a total win win win. Clients are in a beauty environment and having a display of beautifully packaged and lovely scented fragrances at the desk just seems like a total fit!
