On World AIDS DAY 2010 (December 1) 500 hairdressers from across the United States will take to the streets of New York City and trigger 1 million conversations about HIV and AIDS, launching "Hairdressers Against AIDS" in the US.

The pre-launch symposium is this Tuesday, November 30th from 3-5 p.m. at the UNITED NATIONS where speakers from L'Oréal, The White House, the Center for Disease Control, the United Nation's UNESCO and other prominent agencies will lead the discussion and provide current information on the AIDS epidemic.

Some of the speakers for the afternoon will include L'Oréal Senior Management, national dignitaries, prominent HIV/AID's activists, among others. In addition, many of America's highest profile hairstylists including Ted Gibson, Tracey Cunningham, Louis Licari and Bryant Renfroe will be in attendance and are working with us to promote the campaign.
