Owner Bryan Nunes and the design team at Blo Salon in Raleigh, North Carolina, have created a new style collection with several themes. The team veered to the unexpected when they used the hard look of metal to offset the softness and shine of perfectly coiffed hair.

“We used metal sculpture to create depth of
fi eld, texture and shadows that either complemented
or contrasted with the elements of the
hair,” says Nunes. The team used extensions to
create a wild, leonine textured mane highlighted
with a sultry, gunmetal
make-up palette. The
looks represent a wide
range of talent and are
both classic and progressive
enough to appeal
to all elements of
Blo’s client base.
