Nick Arrojo has been quite busy these past couple days. I stopped by his salon to get his thoughts on how students and stylists can and should "Up Their Profiles". However, earlier that day, the news broke that his company, ARROJO, had joined forces with Goldwell as the new partner color and style manufacturer. Before pulling out my video camera to get his comments about that, I first asked him what was the most popular service offered at his incredibly bustling salon.

"The hombre color technique is still very trendy this summer," he says. "This technique uses innovative, technical foil patterns that provide a visual indication of the effect of the color, allowing the colorist to control the stunning dark to light melting effect that is the trendy and cool right now."

As far as style is concerned, Nick is focusing more on the clients' natural texture, "It's natural wave and curl. Rather than trying to make every haircut straight, we like to create space and freedom and movement for the hair's natural texture to shine through."

After that, I pulled out my little Canon and Nick shared with us his thoughts about the Goldwell alliance.
