Backstage at Badgley Mischka with Peter Gray for Moroccanoil

Alison Alhamed | September 13, 2011 | 2:19 PM

Today began with an incredible backstage experience at Badgley Mischka. Working with Moroccanoil products, Peter Gray created some of the most beautiful hair designs I've seen yet. Elegant French twists complemented by a textured top screamed '50s glamour.

In my exclusive interview with Peter, he talks about what it's like to work closely with a designer, how to help the designer develop their vision, and his inspirations for this "living large enjoying life" look.

My favorite quote? What I asked Peter about some of the trends in fashion and hair he's noticed, he said "Trends are becomming obsolete. "Information is getting to the public so fast, and people are so savvy that there's not really time for trends to develop right now. The only thing I've REALLY noticed that remains consistent is a curvier silhouette, particularly since everyone's talking about the '50s."

Check out the finale at Badgley Mischka. See if you can spot Leann Rimes!
