Three highlights of your career:
- I had just graduated beauty school and I was going into work at the Brad Johns Salon. A man was holding the elevator for me. When I looked up, it was Johnny Depp. He was going into the salon to get his color done for a movie he was shooting. I was frozen stiff! I have been obsessed with him my whole life. That was my biggest star struck moment. A definite highlight for me!
- I had just been promoted at the John Frieda Salon, and I was asked to do the color for a celebrity makeover shoot with Sally Hershberger. It was my first shoot. Needless to say, it was very exciting!
- Donating makeovers to the Comedy Cures Foundation to people who have suffered great traumas or illness. It gives me a sense of purpose knowing that what I do can really help people to feel good about themselves no matter what their circumstances. It is that moment when the transformation is revealed after the makeover. Seeing the look in their eyes. That is the best feeling ever.

Tip: Patience, humility and hard work pay off. You may have to be an assistant for a while. This is where your education happens. Always remember this is a service industry.
