In recognition of her outstanding contributions to professional hair color, Logics International Color Spokesperson Gina Khan received the first ever Intercoiffure Colorist of the Year Award at the recent Intercoiffure Fall Atelier event in New York City. The award coincides with another milestone in Gina’s career—her 25th anniversary as a Logics colorist.

Gina has served as the Creative Director for Intercoiffure’s Haircolor Council since 2007. According to Intercoiffure President Lois Christie, the Color Council serves as a forum to help identify and train the next generation of talented color artists. “Together with Jo Blackwell-Preston, Gina has developed the Council into a training ground where ICA member salons can send their top colorists to hone their skills,” says Christie. “In recognition of Gina’s contributions, the Board of Directors has established the Intercoiffure Colorist of the Year Award, which will be presented annually to Intercoiffure members who have consistently combined the highest level of art and technical skill in their work, and who have contributed to raising the level of the profession through education and example.”

“My goal as an educator is to offer people information, techniques and insights from my own experiences to make them more successful,” says Khan.  “I’m grateful to Logics for supporting me in this goal and I’m pleased that Intercoiffure has allowed me to serve on the Color Council where I can play a role in supporting and mentoring the best colorists in the country.”
