Jeff Swaner of Epic Salon Transforms A Redhead

Jeff Swaner, owner of the Epic, a Paul Mitchell Salon, in Encino, California prides himself on his ability to run a successful business as well as maintaining a happy clientele while performing as an all around hairdresser. I was there with my video camera when a new client walked in needing serious color correction after a botched home color job. ”This could be a colorists worst nightmare,” says Swaner. “Especially when a client tries a dramatic red shade from a box.” In this case, the color grabbed beautifully on the healthy hair, went “hot” at the roots and totally went “off tone” along the previous color treated hair. “I can help,” Swaner told his client. “I will balance the lengths and soften the hot root. It will turn out great.” And it did! Swaner threw in a Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Keratriplex treatment for additional repair and shine.

If you don’t move to video, you’ll be left behind.” Best Practices here.
