Guido is one of the kings of fashion week. He travels around the world creating beautiful, tasteful or interesting finishes for some of the top fashion designers in all of the top markets. Here in New York, at the Diesel show for the 2013 collections for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, he was having a moment of calm backstage as just a few models had arrived and were snacking before diving in to hair, make up and nails.

Although there was a line of editors and reporters behind me, Guido offered his thoughts about products and filled us in on the look.

"The look for Diesel is very simple," he says. "It's minimal. To create the look we add clip in hair extensions and place a deep part. It's almost 'military' and very done." Guido went on to share that what sets New York apart from other markets is that "the hair in New York, as opposed to Milan or Paris, is always hair women realy do end up wearing."

To create the look, Guido used Redken products (he is the Creative Consultant for the line): Satinwear 02, Fashion Work 12 and Shine Flash 02. For tools he swears by Sultra irons which he feels were "designed for backstage work" and his FAVORITE brush...a Mason Pearson.
