It's the hair cut that's got the beauty world buzzing. We've seen it on Lady Gaga, Beyoncé and everyone in-between. Inspired by the queen of pinups, Bettie Page, this forehead-skimming, super-short style combines vintage glamour with a rocker edge. Undoubtedly hard to pull off, who would have thought that choppy, uneven, slightly too short fringe you accidentally cut in elementary school would become fashionable? Could this be a new trend?

Recently voted best bang trim in Chicago, celebrity hairstylist and owner of George the salon, George Gonzalez, shares his advice for creating a micro bang look. "The 'micro bang' is a bold statement cut and the right amount of texture is key to pull them off," explains Gonzalez. "If your client's hairline is dense, a bang like this can look fantastic. With a choppy, short fringe, you also can't ignore natural cowlicks. If a client has too many, they should consider the amount of work they will need to do daily to smooth them out. Plus, consider your client's facial features. Will she feel comfortable accentuating her forehead and eyebrows?"
