There is something quite beautiful about this Cassandra DeRosa (@cassderosa) selfie. We tracked down the artist, based at Salon 202 in Howell, NJ, to get the details about this "tweaking" on DeRosa who has been bleached blonde for the past 3 years. "I decided to grow my roots out for about 4 months," she says. "It was time for a change. I haven't had my hair touched up since August so my natural color gives a great ashy rooty effect." Recently DeRosa put Pravana Pastel Pink on her hair and "this is how it faded out." Haircolor was done by fellow colorist Lindsay Boldt (@madeup_with_makeup).
Here DeRosa offers the HOW TO for this very pretty shade:
Step 1: Break up the line using Joico bleach blended with 20 volume developer in very close foils, alternating weaves and slices.
Step 2: Go between foils and break the base use Paul Mitchell 10A blended with 30 volume developer.
Step 3: Process for 25 minutes and then shampoo and condition.
