Creating a Balayage Believer: Hair by Marilyn Cole Using Aloxxi

Anne Moratto | December 3, 2014 | 3:54 PM
HAIR BY MARILYN COLE (@MARILYNROCKSHAIR)

Aloxxi created a new way to talk about haircolor with clients when it introduced the concept of Color Personalities.  Their consultation book features swatches and visuals of haircolor finishes that are assigned a name (Blonde Bambino, Gondola with the Wind, Don’t Prosciutto the Messenger) that allows women to connect with the color and describe what they want verbally and visually.  It empowers them to ask and communicate their desired end results.

Marilyn Cole (@marilynrockshair), an Artistic Advisor and Educator for Aloxxi,  helped her client discover not just her Color Personality—Sparkling Prosecco—but also gave her the confidence to her move beyond foils and discover the joys of balayage.

With this as the result, there is probably no looking back after balayage.

Base Formula:

Chrome 9A at the base with 20 volume

Balayage:

Aloxxi White Lightener with 30 volume.

Gloss at the basin with Tones 10A

From Foiled and Damaged To Luscious Red

Maggie Mulhern | October 1, 2017

"This client had been doing full foils for years, and her hair showed it," says Tiffinie Morton (@hairbytiffinie). "We had been working on getting her hair healthier and decided to try something new. She initially wanted to go to a warm level 5 but I talked her into trying this to ease her into being darker since she had been blonde for so long." Details here.

The "Let's Do It" Makeover

Maggie Mulhern | September 22, 2017

"This was her first time in my chair," says Rachael Monahan (@Rachael_Monahan) of Jyl Craven Hair Design, Canton, Georgia. "She decided she needed a big change to find her herself a romance! She said 'Make it short, sexy, and all one color!' I said 'LET'S DO IT!'" Details for the makeover here.
