Here Love, who points out that she uses straight color deposit without developer (steps 3 and 5), offers the HOW TO for this blue to gray to silver colormelt:

Step 1: Balayage using Schwarzkopf BlondeMe Lightener (blended with Olaplex) up to the root leaving a baby root for low maintenance.

Step 2: Lift to level 9. Shampoo.

Step 3: Tone at the bowl with  Pravana Silver Gray.

Step 4: Process for 15 minutes and then shampoo from the hair.

Step 5: Add a blue root at the sink bowl using Pravana  Blue, slowly fading it to her ends.

Step 6: Process for 25 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.

Step 7: Finish with Redken Shades EQ Clear Gloss by shades EQ.

Step 8: After a trim and reshape, give a full "all in" with your upper muscle sleek blowout. NO FLAT IRON USED!!
