WEtv has a new hair-related reality show coming soon. Cutting It in the ATL spotlights the life of five upcoming hairstylists as they pursue their career goals in Atlanta, Georgia. “Cutting It in the ATL” will premier in May 2015 on WEtv. Let’s meet the cast members:

Dedra Allen— Owner of J’Doah Salon and LaKenya Morris— Stylist at J’Doah Salon

Dedra Allen is a professional hairstylist and owner of J’Doah Salon. The North Carolina native moved to Atlanta in 2008 with no intentions of opening a salon, but in 2010 J’Doah came into fruition. The name J’Doah is the combination of Jhyree and Noah, her sons’ names and Dedra. Allen has been creating trendy looks and maintaining healthy hair for affluent men and women for the past 20 years. In the coming years, Allen plans to expand her talent by opening J’Doah Academy, a school of beauty.

Mushiya Tshikuka— Owner of The Damn Salon

Owner and stylist of The Damn Salon, Mushiya Tshikuka, takes pride in providing clients with an endless number of natural hair styling options. “DAMN! It’s not an acronym. It’s just what you'll say when we’re done,” she says. Tshikuka has opened two Damn Salon locations in Atlanta and Charlotte, a line of natural hair care products, an online boutique and “A Taste of Damn” touring division, which travels the country providing signature styles to clients who have been waitlisted for months. Living out her next goal, Tshikuka launched her own 100 percent Ethiopian-textured line of extensions known as Runway Curls. Runway Curls features a six-texture, high-quality collection conceptualized to blend natural hair with the versatility of hair enhancements.

Maja Sly— Owner of Walk-In Weaves

Maja Sly began styling at an early stage and immediately developed her own techniques. She always had dreams of becoming an entrepreneur and opening up her own salon. When she realized the need for an express weaving salon in the marketplace, Walk-In-Weaves was soon established with a goal to offer customers full-service extensions services at an affordable price point. Sly has two Walk-In Weaves locations in Atlanta and other locations in: Decatur, Lithia Springs, Dunwoody, Charlotte NC, and Columbus, Georgia.

Beautii Joseph— Owner of Spoiled Opulence

Beautii Joseph is a celebrity hairstylist and owner of Spoiled Opulence Salon, Beautii University and the Spoiled Beauty Sweet hair care line. Joseph is known by many to create flawless, yet versatile extensions and creative haircuts for the everyday woman that loves being glamorous. This Miami native has shown her growth in the beauty and fashion industry over the years as a celebrity stylist to songstress diva Regina Bell, reality star Cynthia Bailey of Real Housewives of Atlanta and many more.
